The celestial vault
The sky over the Templo Mayor, with the planets where they stood that day
What it shows
The sky over the Templo Mayor on the date you choose, with the sun, the moon and the planets in the positions they actually held, computed for the coordinates of Tenochtitlan.
Real, computed. It is not an animated background nor a decorative constellation: the positions come from ephemerides, which is why they change with the date and with the hour.
You can see the sky of the day you were born, by choosing that date. It is what appears in one of the shots of the video of the day.
No connection needed. The calculation happens on the phone, like everything else.
