The stone wheel
The whole navigation of the calendar fits in one turn
How the Mexica calendar is navigated
With a turn. The wheel gathers the twenty signs, the thirteen numerals and the twenty trecenas, and any of them is reached by turning rather than by hunting through a menu.
Why a wheel and not a list? Because the count is a cycle: after the last trecena comes the first. A list would suggest there is a beginning and an end, and there is neither.
You can go to a particular date with the day selector, which is another door into the same app.
